The new doctor has just been announced on twitter by by the official doctor who account and BBC as Ncuti Gatwa, who most famous role was Sex Education on Netflix. He is Rwandan-Scottish, making him the most recent Scottish doctor who actor since David tennet to play the role and the first black actor to portray the character.
