Yo, I just found out about this not too long ago! I can't believe I've never heard of this until I did. So Yomi no Tsugai/ Daemons of the Shadow Realm in English is Hiromu Arakawa' s newest manga announced at the 20th anniversary of Fullmetal Alchemist.
The story begins with a set of twins, Yuru and Asa, born on a day prophesied to be the rulers of Tsugai or Daemons as they are called in English. Yuru lives out as a hunter in a very remote and secluded village whereas Asa has an unspecified duty to stay in the village and Yuru makes frequent visits to her. But Yuru's life is turned upside down when the village is attacked and one of the assailants claims to be "the real Asa"!
It's only 11 chapters Translated so far but MAN am I hyped for this series I was waiting for an action/ Mystery series from Arakawa sensei since Silver Spoon is not really my thing despite how funny and endearing it is. The plot is not fleshed out or explained properly just yet as it is one of the series meant to keep the audience in suspense and explain things later which I'm personally fine by as I recall the Fullmetal Alchemist manga was the same somewhat and I only understood it because I watched the anime first way back when. But it's an exciting read for myself but it may not be to everyone's liking I'm aware. And like Fullmetal Alchemist, there are funny moments occasionally in serious situations so that makes me nostalgic lol So give it a try if you like.
The first volume is announced for next year and you can bet your sweet kittens I'm picking it up!
