I'm not sure they are stupid as much...except db and those youtube personalities. As much as they are so spoiled so entitled so enraptured in their own fantasies. That they refuse to see anything that contradict it and will twist everything to fit their narrative.

Typical SS fans, they compare Vegeta knock out Trunks (and Goten) because he love him and want to protect him from Fat Buu and from his self destruct sacrifice. SS fans think it's the same concept ... knock out someone because of love and protection. 
Those who believe or ship SS believe Violence = Affection. These people are dangerous, i hope my daughter didn't end up with one of these scum of earth.

What's even funnier is Sakura's face and how poorly animated it is. To be honest they should have added more love by showing the blood that came out the back after Sasuke struck Sakura, but they didn't on account of not wanting to upset the SasuSaku fans who said it was luve.

Love and hate is the same side of a coin.
If you can love someone with no reason then you can hate someone with no reason and vice versa.
Sasuke doesn't hate sakura, he simply doesn't care about her especially in part 2. Some ss use the half of part 1 until chunin exam as a proof of ss because sasuke doesn't ignore her. Eventhought he treat her like a teammate not a boy who embarrassed by the girl who like him.
It make kakashi a hypocrite because he reject rin advancement because he know obito love her while in her he guiltrip sasuke to love sakura back while knowing that naruto love her. If there's consinstency in kishi writing he will not make kakashi advocate ss.
For sakura, she's a heroine who get abadone by her own author.
Compare to kubo who has worst writing, at least his heroines get a bankai and become a captain.

nH was decided already but judging by the last which had to more or less finish by that point. They knew no one would buy hinata suddenly growing a pair and asking Naruto out. Since apparently she spent 2 more years doing nothing. So they had Sakura come in to one) put those two together and two) force the fans that wanted/supported NS to accepted Sakura decision to support nH. Now how can they convince the fans that Sakura doesn't love with Naruto now or ever, cannot be with Naruto, and will never be with Naruto? Well in order to convince her fans of that, she still needs to be in love with Sasuke.
So SS exist so Sakura can be used as a cupid to put Naruto and Hinata together during the last. That's is it. If it was kishi choice he would have written it better and probably wouldn't have had Sasuke lay out why they don't work together, and Salad in the gaiden layout why their pairing doesn't work. Well until he realized they screwed him over and then he will despise it just like he has with nH.
