Honestly I think Cloud doesn't deserve either. Always emo because his best bud died saving him. I just can't stand emo characters. Tifa deserves someone better. Not that I hate it's just I have never seen him with Aerith or Tifa. He's the kind of character that will be better off alone. 

If they ever showed him without PTSD, that woud've been nice. In ps2 game about Vincent he looks better, but he's not in focus there.

 

Lol. So ARE WE still arguing for NaruSaku, saying NaruHina Sucks and NH fans can burn in a bonfire etc. etc.? Im not at the very least. I just reveling in the fact NH won and their fans Re STILL not happy.

Exactly. But anyway What I meant specifically is the game may well ignite the shipping wars of FF VII again but Cloud and Tifa are canon. That is even confirmed by the developers, so the debating doesn't make sense to me. But the shipping wars can continue I don't really care either way.

 

NaruHina is a special case in where it is so out of the blue and has so little to no story merit in it, even the fans of it take no satisfaction from it, and it literally took a shojo fanfic movie to make them canon. you can't really say that about any other canon couple that "won" per say.

I'm actually glad square delayed the game's release so they can finish putting the final touches, polishing things here and there. Meaning the game will be perfect when it releases. Just by the look of that trailer we already know it's perfect in every way.

10/10 the game is just amazing, the story, the characters, the soundtrack, the combat system the voice acting. Thing is it's very linear like XIII but it's still so amazing. Square has really outdone themselves with this one though I haven't seen the ending yet. I'm enjoying watching playthroughs of YT.

Almost 9 hours into the game (around chapter 6), and man I am in love with the story, and also Cloud x Tifa.  Won't spoil anything from what I've seen thus far, but they might become my new OTP lol 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I'll say this about what Tifa, she's everything I think we all expected Sakura to be.

I played a little bit of Original 7 (on emulator and then the PS4 re-release version), only played Disc 1.  And yes, I know what happened, including the infamous

 

FF7 Iconic scene

Aerith being killed by Sephiroth.

 

Played the Remake demo, I loved it and now bought the Digital Deluxe Edition and I. LOVE. Every bit of it. The characters, even the side characters like Jessie. I don't wanna drop the controller down right now.

I can definitely agree with you on all the characters like Jessie, and Wedge. So far from what I'm playing it's really cool that the side quest actually serve some kinda purpose to the story.

Yup, I firmly appreciate all of the additional CloTi content in the game.  Furthermore,

thanks to a certain decision that Cloud made, any Clerith fans that were deluding themselves into thinking that the Remake was going to renege CloTi's canon status, aren't you going to be happy to see how this decision will affect Aerith.

As for the shipping of the game, I can see why certain fans love CloudxAerith, despite not happening because their interactions and chemistry (not to mention Aerith has that feisty personality) are cute. But ultimately, CloudxTifa is the canonical one because not only they have chemistry, they have history. And the remake brought it out in full swing.

They have hinted Cloud/Tifa since the start of the game so it's that obvious.

Looks like this going change things. From the looks of the ending, sounds like the Sephiroth showing up is from Advent Children that crossed over to the past to accomplish his goals, with his cryptic messages to Cloud. And judging from Aerith's sudden demeanor at the end, I'm guessing that's OG Aerith or she saw her fate of dying by Sephiroth and more likely helping the heroes changing theirs and her fate. Fans are already pissed off that this time, Aerith may survive in the end (losing the shock value from the 1997 OG) or she'll probably die again but before she cast Holy. And then we have Zack maybe alive.

I really don't care but overall, the game was great and I can't wait for more to see what's in store.

Same here.   I was shocked once I realized just how literal a remake this game was by the end, and that chafed me at first, but only because I realized that there's no longer a strict guide line and determined path anymore.  Anything can happen from this point on, and it's both terrifying and exciting. And from what I've seen, that's mainly what people are feeling right now.  So far, people aren't opposed to the ending, just worried how things are going to go moving forward. Oh, and some people that are being pedantic by claiming that calling this game a remake is "false advertisement".
