#326209 Chapter 540

Posted by Whirlpool-Maelstrom on 27 May 2011 - 04:53 PM in Latest Releases

Something that that just came to me a few minutes ago is (Don't know if anyone mentioned this already, if you did I'm sorry) is that with what we see on the first page is probably the last piece on Sakura's growth as a character. She finally moving on, the last piece that will separate her truly from Part I Sakura from PartII Sakura. Anyway my opinion what do you think about it?

#326172 The NEW NaruSaku Debate Thread!

I suspected that Kishimoto was basing Sakura's personality at least partly on his wife, he recently (at the notes for manga volume 53) stated that Kushina's personality came from his wife- he outright asked for her help to make the character realistic. What female character has a personality similar to Kushina? Sakura. And look at how he describes Sakura- "a normal girl" "the most realistic character in the manga" (what women would Kishimoto know best- his mother and his wife. In another manga volume Kishimoto described his mom very positively and how he felt she was heroic: when he was on a field trip as a kid and she rescued him when he fell in something that covered him in muck. Even his teacher just stared at him, his mom marched right over and got him out, no scolding she just acted. He said that moment made him in awe of her, what a great mom she was. (The origins of Kishimoto's love for strong willed women and knowing how deeply they care for the people they love, I think smile.gif I could very easily see Sakura acting that way with her and Naruto's children.

Your statement actually makes me think of this pairing debates going on and about. Even with some of her doubts, for me, Sakura is a much more Stronger willed woman than Hinata. Her doubts and fears just give her bigger depth compared to Hinata who just thinks of Naruto and poof she's A-OK. This just adds another reason to why Sakura is a great character. She's believable, you can actually relate to her somewhat.

Honk For Japan

This is why I like subscribing to some youtube videos. We have good people out here helping Japan as we speak, props to all of you.

Off everyone possible to pull something like this nihahiga was the last one I expected, but even then its a nice thing he did.

I haven't said this yet but my heart goes to Japan.

#316901 Spring Anime

There are quite a few one's here that I might find worth watching. Ao no exorcist and Deadmen Wonderland are mangas that I know off, though the latter is one i'm not very partial too. On the OVA side it's another thing, Gundam Unicorn(Which is already out in some streaming sites from what i've seen, even though i have not seen it yet), the third episode of .hack//Quantum and maybe Black Lagoon. I'll also have to check Sket-Dance it seems interesting.

Being a marksmanship hunter I liked the buffs to some extent, 200% Aimed shot damage was pretty nice specially with the proc activate that's five digits worth of instant damage for me, still i would have liked a little something else other than Chimera Shot's damage increase. By the way I reached level 85 last month... now it feells somewhat dull to do anything else. shamefulcry0js.gif

Have been reading this manga for over a month ago. It has become one of my favorites. Chapter 89 was very nice can't wait until the next ones.

P.S: Did she just shatter a bolt with her teeth? o.O?

A lot of drama being set up for the next chapter with the father vs son fight. I just hope these battles that will be coming our way involve a lot of strategy, last chapter's fight was very good, so I'm hoping that Kishimoto keeps the standard.

Fifty?! All active members? Or just characters that belong to the guild? I wish we had those numbers. XD

I really can't tell if it's one or another but I'm leaning on it being the number of characters belonging to the guild since it's really rare to have a lot of people having a few more than ten it's rare.

#309635 Marvel's Wolverine: The Anime

Posted by Whirlpool-Maelstrom on 25 January 2011 - 02:15 PM in Otaku Square

So far it's bee interesting. From what I understood the plot seems to revolve around wolverine trying to free his lover and screwing up the bad guys plans, Its not bad but I'm hoping it shapes up after a couple more episodes.

There are good days, bad days and days you don't plain freaking understand why they didn't happen sooner. Today was the latter, Woke early to leave before 9 AM, had maths tutoring and maths class, turns out I have neither meaning a free day for me.... For real why doesn't this stuff happen more often.

#309630 Ever read a fan fiction that disappointed you?

Posted by Whirlpool-Maelstrom on 25 January 2011 - 12:09 PM in Writing Discussion

So many fics I've stopped reading for being unable to handle the disappointment. Its either the pairings, the way it's written, a stupid plot device or even the characters/story moving in ways that make me back away. I'm a picky guy anyway.

I would like to be the first to say, "Welcome to Azeroth." I hope you enjoy you're stay and be sure to note that Blizzard has intentions on fixing the quests within not only BC but to also fine tune those from Wotlk as well.

We started to raid 2 weeks ago and... Only managed to kill Algaloth... Seriously these new bosses are no joke. Especially if you're barely meeting the gear requirements. So far we've only tried BWD and both Magmaw and the Defense system are making quick work of us, although 5 mins isn't really quick in a boss fight. Still we'll continue to strive forward and try again when the raids reset this week. Hopefully some t11 pally tank gear drops from BH and we can continue raiding like normal.

Thank you! I've been enjoying the game so far and also I was very lucky to have been recruited into a guild on the first day I was playing with my hunter, though I must say the stuff you're saying about the raids and more specifically the bosses goes completely beyond me, so far I've only been questing and did an odd dungeon here and there. the guild is also pretty small (fifty or so members) so dungeon activity and other stuff is very rare. Overall I'm looking forward to spend a good time playing, meaning not worrying with achievements and reputations. In the end I want to get a good feel of the game first, before moving to the more challenging stuff.

Posted by Whirlpool-Maelstrom on 24 January 2011 - 02:28 PM in Naruto General

I find that it is less troublesome to just don't get fixated to any pairings, the amount of reading material you get multiplies and stop reading a story because you don't like a secondary pairing is kinda pathetic don't you think.

#309543 World of Warcraft

Posted by Whirlpool-Maelstrom on 24 January 2011 - 02:16 PM in Gamer Lounge

Started playing last month and I have to say it's probably the most fun I've had till now with an MMORPG. As Zero said the level 1-60 experience was really fun, 60-70 was boring.

At the moment I'm questing in grizzly hills and liking it, Wrath of the Lich King is definitely way better than Burning Crusade, which I think the only good thing it brought were two new races for the game, outland was in my opinion a bad place to play it, the quests and the overall experience felt boring almost like a Korean MMO (Endless grind without actually having to grind.)

So far taking out Outland I've been loving the game. Can't wait to reach the cataclysm zones.(80-85 zones if you didn't get it).

P.S: Playing a level (for now) 76 Worgen Hunter on the Magtheridon Realm.

#309542 The Multiversal Gaming Thread

As anyone even noticed the amount of big name RPG's coming out this year, Dragon Age 2, The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings, The Elder scrolls 5: Skyrim, Mass Effect 3(?), Dungeon Siege 3 and hopefully Diablo 3! My wallet's gonna feel light this year.

#309540 Lair of the Maelstrom

Posted by Whirlpool-Maelstrom on 24 January 2011 - 01:46 PM in i-Blog

So, it came to my attention that some people here might be missing little ol'me (You know who you are). Some wonder if I'm dead, while others just plain don't care (ARSES!). If you must know lately I've doing alright homework, school, silly classmates and overall trying to stop being an idiot.

For some time now I've tried to get back to the fanfiction scene but again and again I can't summon up the will to just sit down and start typing away thousands of words. At first I wanted to write a Dragon Age Fanfiction, then it was a Diablo one, now it's Warcraft (I blame WoW for this. (started playing a month ago)).

Anyway I'm back for who knows how long tongue.gif

TOO SHORT!

Why only 18 pages Kishi?

Otherwise it was a pretty good chapter, but not epic in my opinion.
